Our European Legal Team is looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) - UK, working from Burton. 

What your job includes

  • Advising our UK companies on all legal matters with a particular focus on general commercial matters and contracts
  • Independent review, drafting and negotiation of national and international sales, purchasing, service and supply chain contracts with contractual partners
  • Providing legal support for cross-border matters and contracts across our European subsidiaries, with a primary focus on UK lawSupport with the legal integration of subsidiaries into our existing business structure
  • Representation of the legal interests of the UK group companies externally
  • Support the Legal Contracting System Icertis & Vendor Background System Diligent

What we expect from you

  • Law degree and qualified as a solicitor in the UK with appropriate professional experience for the position from a law firm or a legal department and meet the following additional criteria:
  • Profound knowledge of UK contract law, commercial law and corporate law
  • Experience with supply chain/vendor agreements and cross-border matters
  • Very good analytical skills and judgement, assertiveness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and intercultural sensitivity, particularly in an international environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at all hierarchical levels
  • Hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial thinking and a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving
